Janet Wylie has been an art advisor and dealer in fine art since 1987.

She received her training in art history at both Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York, and the prestigious Institute of Fine Art in New York City, part of New York University.  While studying at N/Y/U., she interned at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

She has advised both private collectors and corporate collectors, among those, the Life-Re Corporation in Stamford, Ct. (now part of Swiss-Re Corporation.)

She has also worked with interior designers for private residential projects.

She was initially drawn to the American expatriates because their training in Europe provided them with the skills needed to compete with their European counterparts.  The quality seen in their work is commensurate with their rigorous academic instruction.  She has also concentrated on the work of their teaches and instructors, as a way to evaluate the influence of these important artists.

Janet also works with a team of experts who provide restoration services, when required.
